SSE East Lloyds Bank & Bank of Scotland Social Entrepreneurs Programme

If you have a new idea or an existing project that benefits the community, our SSE East Lloyds Bank & Bank of Scotland Social Entrepreneurs Programme can help. The learning programme offers a fully funded year of training and a grant (£3,000) to help you develop your project.

The Lloyds Bank & Bank of Scotland Social Entrepreneurs Programme is FREE so it won't cost you a penny!

The programme supports start-up or early stage entrepreneurs who are looking to get started on a new, socially-focused idea. It runs for 14 days over a 12-month period starting in October 2017.

During the programme, you will develop as a leader and obtain the skills needed to take your social enterprise to the next stage. It is incredibly practical, and social entrepreneurs can expect to learn from their peers, build new networks and be challenged by social enterprise experts.

Social enterprises previously supported by the programme include:
  • A Cambridge-based chocolatier that provides employment and training opportunities for young people with autism
  • An online resource and community for anyone concerned about their elderly parents or relatives
  • A food-based business in Norwich that supports homeless individuals by providing training and work experience
