Could you be a rural entrepreneur?
Have you ever thought about starting your own business? Do you currently live in a rural area in Suffolk? The Eastern Enterprise Hub has teamed up with Suffolk County Council, East of England Co-op and Easton and Otley College to support rural enterprises
From May 2017, a free 12 day programme will be running to support opportunities for Suffolk’s aspiring rural entrepreneurs to expand their enterprise knowledge and assist them in setting up businesses.
Led by an Eastern Enterprise Hub’s Learning Manager with local business leaders such as Ensors, Ashton’s Legal and East of England Coop. The course will include half-day sessions such as:
Unlike previous years where farming was the main focus; the programme is now open to anyone living in a rural area, in Suffolk, that would like to set up a business. So, if you are a potential tree surgeon business; an events co-ordinator or even someone who’d like to set up a clothing or jewellery business or perhaps a social enterprise in their community. - Suppliers and Buyers: including East of England COOP’s Buy Local team and Suffolk Farmers Market expert

The programme will run from 10am-3pm, starting in May. These dates and times may be subject to change depending on the volume of applications received. Dates will be confirmed when applicants are accepted onto the programme following an interview. The course takes place at the Eastern Enterprise Hub on the Ipswich Waterfront.
