Grow your future!

Could you be a rural entrepreneur?

Have you ever thought about starting your own business? Do you live in rural Suffolk or have a rural Suffolk client base? The Eastern Enterprise Hub has teamed up with Suffolk County Council, East of England Coop and Easton and Otley College to support rural enterprises.

From June 2017, a free 12 day programme will be running to support opportunities for Suffolk’s aspiring rural entrepreneurs to expand their enterprise knowledge and assist them in setting up businesses.

Led by an Eastern Enterprise Hub Learning Manager, with local business leaders such as Ensors, Ashtons Legal and East of England Coop. The course will include half-day sessions in:

  • Aspirations, Personal and Business Needs
  • Legal Entities and Intellectual Property
  • Marketing: Traditional and Social Media
  • Suppliers and Buyers: including East of England Coop’s Buy Local team and Suffolk Farmers Market expert
  • Funding, Investment and Risk
Individuals will also receive support from the Eastern Enterprise Hub's network of business leaders.

The programme is open to anyone living in rural Suffolk that would like to set up a business or has recently started trading. So, if you’re a tree surgeon, dog walker, carer, caterer, producer or, you’re thinking of setting up a social enterprise. Please get in touch!

The programme will run from 10am-3pm, starting in June. These dates and times may be subject to change depending on the volume of applications received. Dates will be confirmed when applicants are accepted onto the programme following an interview.

The course will be delivered from the Eastern Enterprise Hub on Ipswich Waterfront.
