The Inspiring Entrepreneur Programme for the Care Sector has been set up to provide accessible and beneficial support for individuals who wish to work in the care sector as micro business owners.
Funded by Essex County Council, the “Inspiring Entrepreneur Programme for the Care Sector” course shines light on a new reality to provide a wider range of high quality services in Essex given people more control and a personalised choice over their care.
Starting in February in Colchester, the free course, will offer potential care sector entrepreneurs, business development skills and techniques as they set a new business, whilst allowing them to understand the journey of their potential clients who are going through the care system so they can develop their market offer.
Led by an experienced Eastern Enterprise Hub facilitator in partnership with our expert business leaders, the ‘Inspiring Entrepreneur Programme for the Care Sector’ would offer a care sector focused action learning programme for up to 20 participants. Students will apply skills learnt from real life experiences and expertise of established business leaders such as Ashton Legal, Ensors Chartered Accountants as well as Adult Services commissioners.
The 10- session programme will include:
- Care Sector context
- Entrepreneurial thinking
- Safeguarding and Data Protection
- Business strategies in CAre
- Knowing your customer
- Winning care contracts and negotiating with suppliers
- Financial planning
- Marketing and Social Media
By developing care sector entrepreneurs who are ready to participate and thrive in the new market conditions the programme will also produce advocates of care as a modern and fulfilling career. It also others a more flexible lifestyle choice where you can set your own working hours.
