Thurrock start-up social entrepreneurs to receive invaluable free training and support.

The School for Social Entrepreneurs East is recruiting for its new free programme designed for Social Entrepreneurs living in Thurrock.

The programme fully funded by Thurrock Council will give 16 start-up social entrepreneurs the opportunity to learn from established and successful, local social enterprises as well as business professionals including accountants, lawyers and marketeers.

Cllr Sue MacPherson, Cabinet Member for Neighbourhoods, Thurrock Council, said: “During the programme, you will develop as a leader and gain skills needed to take your social enterprise to the next stage.

“It is incredibly practical, and social entrepreneurs can expect to learn from their peers, build new networks and be challenged by social enterprise experts.”

Digby Chacksfield, Chief Executive of the School for Social Entrepreneurs East, said “We’re delighted to bring our Social Entrepreneurs programme to Thurrock.

“We have a unique style of learning. The programme will enable early stage entrepreneurs to develop the skills and self-confidence needed to take their social enterprises to the next stage."

The programme is due to start in September 2017, runs for 18 days over 12 months and will be delivered from venues including the Thurrock Adult Community College, Richmond Road, Grays.

To register your interest in the programme please email info@eehub.co.uk or call 01473 527100 (9am-5pm Mon to Fri).
