Baby Boomers are a population group rapidly approaching “OLD AGE” (not something we like to think about) and are the victims of the exercise fads of the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s where pain equalled a good workout. There is a generation of bad backs, hips and knees made worse by sedentary jobs.

Pilates was created with both strength and flexibility in mind. One study found that middle- aged participants who did Pilates twice a week for 3 months demonstrated significant improvements in flexibility and muscular endurance, building core strength, improving posture through proper alignment of the spine, hips, and shoulders, as well as the development of lean muscle mass.
