About Enterprise Academy
The Enterprise Academy is for young people, 16 to 18, in Suffolk who want to learn all about business and enterprise whilst developing their own business plan for a micro business. The Enterprise Academy is run in partnership with Suffolk One with time spent at EE Hub, Suffolk One and with local employers, business leaders and entrepreneurs.
Learn all about business from entrepreneurs and business leaders and gain a level 3 BTEC in Enterprise and Entrepreneurship from Suffolk One. The Level 3 BTEC is equivalent to two A levels.
We are recruiting our next group of students to begin the Enterprise Academy programme in September 2012.
If you want to be your own boss or get ahead in business, the Enterprise Academy is for you. As well as covering all aspects of business, you will work on a business plan to take your own micro business to market, be exposed to business challenges and learn from business leaders, entrepreneurs and experts in all the key business disciplines.
You will be assigned your own mentor who will help you develop the key skills you need to take your business venture to market. Weekly contact with entrepreneurs and business people plus a month long, intensive work experience placement mean you will gain great contacts for the future and the employment skills employers are looking for.
We demand a lot from our Enterprise Academy students. You will be required to follow the structures and disciplines of the business world and conduct yourself professionally at all times. In return, you will gain a real understanding of business, learn key business skills and make highly valuable connections for the future.
Enrichment Days Eastern Enterprise Hub
Key to the success and learning style of the Enterprise Academy are the weekly 'Enrichment Days' which take place at the Eastern Enterprise Hub. These complement the class room based sessions with specialist masterclasses in all aspects of business delivered by entrepreneurs, business leaders and expert practitioners.
