    Digby Chacksfield, CEO

    Digby is at the forefront of start-up entrepreneur learning & development in the UK. He has pioneered innovative learning programmes both for commercial and for social entrepreneurs. He has led and developed the Eastern Enterprise Hub learning offer since start up and has overseen the growth of the delivered learning programmes from two programmes in 2010 to over 15 in 2014. 

    Digby’s career has spanned multiple sectors, including education, culture and community regeneration. He has been instrumental in the setting up of a number of charitable organisations and social enterprises as well as running his own business as a freelance specialist.

    He believes in the potential for people from any circumstances to lead incredible businesses. Digby currently mentors two entrepreneurs and is very proud to be a Non-Executive Director on the board of The Grow Organisation, an exemplary social enterprise.

    Nicola Groom, Finance Director

    Nicola is a highly motivated qualified CIMA Accountant with over 18 years of Accountancy experience in various sectors. Her particular skills include analysing data and communicating the results to all levels of staff.

    Having lived the majority of her life in Suffolk, Nicola went away to study at De Montfort University in Leicester and graduated with a BA Hons in Business Studies.

    After graduating Nicola spent over a year travelling and working around the world, before settling down and qualifying as a CIMA Management Accountant.

    She has worked in the technology sector for high profile American companies including Agilent Technologies Inc where she was their Senior Finance Specialist and Sun Microsystems Inc where she held the position of Senior European Financial Analyst.

    From 2004 to 2011 she has worked at Choose Suffolk as their Financial Controller.

    Chanel Olding, Learning Manager

    "Loyal, conscientious and a chocoholic."

    Chanel's background is in banking, having had over 25 years experience working for two Scottish banks in East Anglia. She finished her career as a Relationship Manager in Ipswich before leaving for a two year spell living and working in Copenhagen and Brussels. On her return she gained a BA Degree in Event Management at UCS before joining the Eastern Enterprise Hub as the Programme Co-ordinator. Now as a Learning Manager she is delighted to be able to assist with the delivery of the ever-increasing number of programmes the Eastern Enterprise Hub has to offer over its three locations.

    Remi Morrison

    Remi Morrison, Marketing Manager

    "Energetic, Creative and Like to laugh"

    Remi has a passion for all things video and PR including social media and creative narratives to enhance campaigns. Formerly a Press Officer for Suffolk County Council, she has experience working with Public Health and Adult Community Services teams in Suffolk where she has worked on campaigns for Home First and the Health and Wellbeing Board. Remi has three years experience of gaining exposure on BBC Look East, East Anglian Daily Times and BBC Radio. Remi also has working experience of working with university students in Suffolk and the Nursing Department, which she has now transferred to working closely with University of Essex.  With over 10 years experience working in sectors such as music, media, charity and public sector, Remi has all round knowledge of marketing as well as corporate fundraising and can make recommendations to marketing strategies. She is focused on growing the online marketing opportunities for the Hub as well as gaining exposure in traditional local media. Remi is also an active member in the film-making community as a producer helping brands and businesses to creative engaging videos for their customers.

    Heidi Love

    Heidi Love, Learning Manager

    "Practical, Creative and Passionate."

    Heidi has over 15 years' experience working in training and development and has had a wide and varied career ranging from beauty therapist, IT trainer, NVQ assessor and more recently as a project manager in a local authority looking at ways of improving the customer experience. All of Heidi's roles have had a very strong customer focus, an area that she is passionate about.
    She has worked in both the public and private sector and has a degree in Psychology from the University of Essex, which she undertook as a mature student and graduated in 2005. Heidi is also a director of a consultancy organisation and knows first hand the challenges of running a small business. Heidi has a great interest in art, and tries her best at drawing and painting when she has the time and inspiration. She is really happy to be working with the team at the Eastern Enterprise Hub.
