About 5th Floor Club

We are looking to recruit business leaders to share their skills, experience and expertise with the next generation of entrepreneurs.

We are holding a special event on 19th September to celebrate and acknowledge the contribution of the business community in our work with early stage entrepreneurs and encourage more business people to get involved - if you would like to come along, please call us on 01473 527100.

The 5th Floor Club was established to help develop tomorrow’s entrepreneurs and to accelerate the growth of their businesses.  Our dynamic, productive and inspiring partnership that we have established with the business community, through the 5th Floor Club, is critical to all that we strive to achieve at the EE Hub.  It is a true partnership where business leaders bring the unique combination of their business know-how, leadership and the experience of their personal journey to focus on the growth and development of student entrepreneurs.  We would not be able to deliver the innovative package of learning and mentoring support to early stage entrepreneurs without the passion, drive and enthusiasm of our 5th Floor Club members.  It is a tribute to the commitment of all our 5th Floor Club partners and their willingness to share knowledge, expertise and connections with our student entrepreneurs, that together we have:

  • Created 41 new enterprise
  • Supported the creation of 740 jobs
  • Created a combined turnover of £22m for the region’s economy

What’s more, through 5th Floor Club member's support we have delivered a ground-breaking enterprise learning programme for young people through our Enterprise Academy.  In the first ‘pilot’ year of the Academy programme, a partnership with Suffolk One, we have helped 43% of those following the course to establish their own business, we have supported 36% to go on to Higher Education and we have enabled the remaining 21% to gain employment through the Enterprise Academy’s work experience programme.
